Love the yellow. I really like the black trim on the baseboard and crown, but I see what you mean with the doors. I think you can either go black on the door or paint out that trim white to match, but I definitely think they should be the same color.

Black trim and doors will work with lighter walls not yellow

yellow has to go...red too....time for a change...love the black trim and doors should be black also. Find a paint color you can love for all walls,,,,,,kitchen, hall, and dining. Ceiling paint choice should not be a lighter then your cabinets...the decor of inside of your home should complement , not always dictate...Time to sit back and decide where you want to go.

I would say that your style lends itself to more of a tuscan design. Tuscan design has colors that mimic vineyards: olive green, burnt orange, yellow, brown etc. If you just continued the wall color in the living room up and kept the dark trim, you could change the doors to a dark wood instead of painting them black and it may blend really nicely. The column color depends on how much you want it to stand out. If you paint it the same color as the majority of the walls then it will blend in more. If you paint it a different color you will have it stand out more. The right green or slightly darker color in the same shade of the main walls will look good too.
