I can’t imagine my view not encompassing the beach. I’d place a sofa along the wall facing the window. The TV on the wall to the left of the door and a comfy, lounge chair, that swivels, facing the TV. Add an end table between the sofa and chair, a nice coffee table and an area rug and it would be awesome.

Unfortunately we don’t have a view of the water. This room is really for the end of day relaxing with the family.

I see from the photo that the TV connection is already on the wall opposite the window.
If you must keep tv there, place a sofa..no sectional....under the window, a comfy chair and table with lamp in corner, and find a largish coffee table for puzzles. I keep one going when
family is coming( puzzle that is). I also place a small dinner bell next to it. When we get a piece in...we ring the bell...lots of fun.

PS to my previous post.....if you can find a chair with ottoman, it can be used as extra seating when needed. It is great at the puzzle table.

For relaxing with the family, I'd do a sectional with the lounge end at the door (as long as it leaves you a walkway to the door). So do the set up melissa posted, but without the second chair and sofa with a lounge at that end. But it depends on how your family uses a living space. We like to flop and crowd onto a sectional, others like to sit in individual spaces upright. I'd then do a matching ottoman instead of a coffee table with a big round tray on it to hold stuff that would otherwise go on the coffee table.

Be aware of how badly those windows will reflect in a TV on the opposite wall. You might have to cover them to see the screen.

Wouldn't something like this fit (just over 5' wide)? and still leave room for a walkway to the door? If you shifted the TV on the stand down a bit towards the open end of the room. Is your lighting going to be from table lamps or are you putting in ceiling fixtures?

There was another small LR houzzer with sectional that worked. Depends what you find.

For sofa: if you/ yours have a plain wooden chair, you could add pretty seat cushion.

I would put the sofa under the window. On the inside wall, I’m thinking this electric fireplace would look great under the t v. It is from Walmart.

Charcoal is a fun color with which to work. Beachy rug; slipcovered sofa; black rattan chairs. And a great rug.

Our TV is facing a window and if watching TV in the daytime we have to close the curtains, which is a pain. It makes the room very gloomy in the daytime.

Do you have a skylight? Have to share shade for hanging or floor....
