Wow, someone has a green thumb. A charcoal roof will go with light blue, silver gray, and lots of off whites. A dark chocolate roof will go with warm paint colors. Both charcoal and chocolate go with sage green and terracotta combinations of paint and trim.

By the way, the shrubs will have to be pruned back to allow at least a foot of space between them and the house for the painters to work. Ask a professional arborist if the beautiful big tree can be pruned or if it is too close to the house foundation for root growth.

I thank those that have commented but I should point out as I did in my original comment that the huge evergreen tree has been taken down and is gone now. The other shrubs are nowhere near the house as there is a path that runs down between them and where the evergreen used to be.

I will try and get an up to date photo with it gone shortly but right now there is a huge storm happening!

Try reposting the text of your original comment. I don't see it.

Unfortunately my original message seems to have disappeared and I am unable to find it, so here is my original message again to the best of my memory...
I am replacing the existing shake roof to a duroid roof when the weather permits, and can choose an array of colours for which I am asking for your suggestions. ALSO, I will be repainting the entire exterior and would love your suggestions as to the colors for the main part, trim, garage door, and front door.
PLEASE NOTE: The large evergreen tree that is in front of the house is no longer there as it was very recently taken down A large blue pot has been converted to a fountain and sits on the ground level stump.
I will try and take an updated photo as soon as our current very stormy weather subsides.

Prefer paint brands of either Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams, so color numbers and names with your suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

If there is brick or stone anywhere, photos of those features would be useful, too, once the storm has passed. Coordinating roof color with hardscape color usually looks best.

No brick or stone on the house other than the chimney. I feel I have a great opportunity to go with any colour for the house as my roof colour can be anything I want it to be too. Being that the roof is so prominent in the front I wondered if black would be overdoing it.

How do you feel about funking it up?

The cube jut out in the back can be your accent color: maybe coral?

Taupe for the body of the house.

Think about creating the proper backdrop for your floral displays!
