It’s a nice, bright room. If it were my room, I would probably pick up the blue for a pair of solid colored chairs and add ivory drapes to keep the spacious and airy feel you have going on now. A patterned fabric might work too, but you would have to look at samples next to the rug to see if they are good together. Do you have any particular fabrics or prints in mind?

You could also use a coffee table and some end tables with lamps. You need lighting other than overhead lighting. Your photos don’t show the wall behind the sofa, but it might be a good spot for a piece of art to add some color and suggest an accent color for accessories, pillows, etc.

Cubed ottomans can often look too solid and square when put with a large sofa such as you have. I would also advise solid cream curtains.

Nice... but option for a cooler neutral that seems in your rug. At 52" I guess one per window, and when wanting sun, move to side... ??

Yes I too have a liking towards ivory...my husband likes the gray......our is open plan with white kitchen and black and gray granite......as you said let me wait....thank you "saypoint" for you kind reply....

Yes its open to the kitchen....sure ill post a picture of the other side too. as you both have said we too like the neutral ones...both the ivory....

Without seeing the kitchen and why your DH wants gray, I say the one on the far right. The strong contrast in the gray would take over the room and I think would fight the rug. The ivory give you pattern, but you can still see the rug and they balance each other. I had been thinking blue, but I like the cream or ivory and that keeps that light feel. Blue would have to be balanced with some other weight in the room or I think they would be too heavy too. You might find something like the ivory but with a pattern in blue (not too much) as a compromise? But let's see what's in the kitchen......
