Log house living = LOTS of wood... living room area rug help please!

Living in a log home means I get to try to design my living room around LOTS of wood. My style is transitional, but I also love mid century modern pieces. I am trying to find an area rug that will be a great fit for my space and sofa. Here is a picture of my living room and some area rugs I am interested in. Any ideas / support would be fantastic!

I agree with Becky. I live in a log home so I know how easily the room can become very dark. With colors in the last rug you could use a coral tone for accent but be careful that it doesn't get too "peachy" or It will get lost. I have found that saturated colors work well with logs. I love pastels but with my layout and windows they just do not work. Love that rug and let us know what your room looks like when you are finished. (Did I say finished??) Seems like there is always something to keep working on.

Log cabin owner here as well. Third rug rocks!

can you post the info for it? That color combo might be a good for for the loft at our place.

I like the 3rd rug the best if the color works with your sofa when you get it in your room.

I agree that the tribal Oriental rug in the third picture is the best option, although I'm not sure that I would choose that particular one. Go to esalerugs and click on tribal rugs and you'll see a large selection. I agree that a warm, more saturated color would be more attractive, although it shouldn't be dark. Please make sure that it's large enough for maximum impact. Here are two in my dining room and entry room.

Thank you everyone! I really appreciate all the help! I also questioned if I should be looking for a warmer color scheme rug to balance my warm wood walls. I really appreciate the comments suggesting it may not be the best color for the room. Here are a few pics of some other rugs I have saved ( I seriously have looked at so many rugs, I think this is taking over my life haha). I would love any feedback you may have! :)

For those asking the peachy tribal rug above is from Wayfair and it is called Ovid Orange Area Rug by Loon Peak.

And here is my room again for reference:

    Thanks so much everyone!!

The 5th rug feels good to me.I love the number of colors available. Most of all though is the "aged" look of the carpet. I seem to gravitate to things that have a story (or at least illusion of time.) That being said each one has great potential. If you can let us know which direction you go.

I have lived in 2 log homes. I understand your problem! Do you have any interior stonework also? Last time I was in this position, I tried to pull the base color of the rug from the lightest tone in the stone on my fireplace, so that I didn't end up with too much going on. Jewel tones do seem to work well, also. I like the last 3 you posted in the comments. It is really hard to pick unless you can see the rugs in person, too. I ended up ordering my last rug through a local furniture store, where I could see and feel samples. They ended up being very competitive on price. I tried ordering online first, and the colors always seemed a little "off" once I got them rolled out in my wood-everywhere house.

I like all your rug choices, I think you'll find one that works great. One hint about ordering rugs online, order the smallest one available if possible. You can check out the colors and weave and if it doesn't work, you won't have to haul a giant rug to the post office. Free shipping and returns are great but it's no fun rolling and wrapping an 8 by 10 rug to send back.

Katie, you have such a pretty space. I love that you have warm wood walls and drywall ceilings. My place is ALL wood, so I love (and am envious) that you have some contrast.

If you don’t mind my asking, what is your budget for the rug? And what is the size of the room? I have found some great rugs recently but they are all across the board in price and size.
