It's a bummer they changed the Domsjo. I have the old single in my main bath/laundry room. We use it like a utility sink and it's been great for the 2 years we've had it.

I'd take a look at the Kohler Harborview or something similar to that.

The IKEA sink would probably be plenty durable, if you can find the right model.

How about something like this? I was considering it for the same type of set up you have when we were designing our house. I had the mfg info somewhere and now can't source it - sorry - but if you like it maybe some of the super searchers here can find it. To me it straddles the line between a utility sink and a fun/funky bathroom sink.

I have that sink in my laundry. We installed it in 2005 and it's held up really well. It's not real big though. I've seen it around on the web although we bought ours through a local plumbing fixtures retailer.

Thanks all so far! Given I need to fill, wash ... and then drip-dry the dog bowls, etc, I think the sink would need to sit in a countertop so I had space on one side, preferably both.

Maybe a vintage - or reproduction - sink is the answer. Off to do some digging.

If the intended use includes washing the dog's dishes, a small kitchen sink with attached drainboard would be nice. You can wash hands in almost anything, so look for something that works well for the dishes.

Pro Kitchen ... ask the clients how they like cleaning the inside bottom seam in that rustic tub. When it's still a tub you can tip around as you clean it, then tip it upside down to drain.

My sister used this combo because she wanted something deep enough for hand washing and also wanted to bathe her baby in it. The sink is very deep.
