Newport RI Labor Day Weekend Recs?

DH's cousin is getting married on the beach in Middletown Friday night. We plan to fly in on Thursday night and stay until Sunday or Monday.

Any ideas about where to stay? I'm having a hard time finding something decent. We will rent a car and I don't need luxury, but want to stay somewhere pretty nice, preferably on the beach or with an ocean view. Hotel, Airbnb, Homeaway . . . Thanks!

Delilah, if you can get a decent deal to Providence/Green airport it's 1000 times easier to navigate than Logan.

Magdalena - we have family in Little Compton and you might be able to find a cute place there. It's very charming but might be a bit of a drive on Labor day weekend though.

We stayed in a nice B&B in Newport and liked the location, although it was not on a beach. Check out the Samuel Durfee House.
