We were there a couple of years ago and stayed at the Best Western Plus Las Brisas Hotel. Clean, convenient and reasonable. So sorry to hear about your troubles.

No recommendations here, but I’m sorry to hear about the plumbing problems, and the Cole. What a bummer. Hope you find something nice quickly so that you can relax and enjoy the remaining time.

We stay at the Ritz Carlton in the summer when it’s cheap. We’ve also stayed at the Courtyard on Tahquitz and it’s not bad. Good location. You might look at the Casino in Cabazon to see if they have a decent rate, although I’ve never stayed there.

Thank you all! I ended up booking a mcm home in Palm Springs on airbnb. I will let you know how it goes! It seems a lot of the hotels are booked for the modernism show. We called many!

I’d love to hear about the house, especially if it has a pool. Want to plan something with my girlfriends later this year.

Thank you guys!! The home is very nice! I will post pics tomorrow if you are all interested. We are relieved that it’s a decent place! Also, it’s much better than a hotel!! It’s in a neighborhood of mcm homes, but is very private...everything is hidden by tall hedges. It’s very quiet too and has a nice pool and an outdoor shower.

So glad you got a nice place with proper Plumbing. Hope you get lots of quiet rest and good food. Look forward to the pictures.

I read your post late last night and am so relieved to read that you are pleased with your rental. How stressful to find a problem such as a sewer issue when you are there for relaxation and fun with your Dad. I hope you can now relax and enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Jeez, that’s all you need. Don’t give your brother the address. You’ll have the whole gang hanging at the pool. Meet them at their hotel. The place where you’re staying looks nice. I hope you can get some rest there and feel better.

Thanks nosoccormom and Chickadee2. :). I deleted the part about my brother. I did go meet them at the zoo. Hopefully, no one caught my cold. It was great to see my little nieces and nephews. They are so adorable and sweet.

I'll be sending a pm too! We've stayed at La Quinta Resort & Spa and at the Ritz, great resorts, but staying at a house would be much better.

Thanks guys! It has been a terrible vacation, but still nice to see my father. I was really sick and am just now feeling better. The plumbers that were out there all day Friday seemed incompetent and I think they weren’t plumbers but were technicians who only know how to unclog drains.

Chispa- Thanks! I think a home is a better choice for extended periods of time. We considered La Quinta Resort, but everytime we go to eat there, there are so many people and children. We just wanted peace. And it’s nice to have a kitchen and w/d, plus a pool. The house is like it’s own little compound. It’s walled off by high shrubs and completely private.
