Full TV table or short for a small living room?

My living room is small (it's one of those micro apartments, 300sqft deal). The room's width is 12ft, but the area for the living room is about 5ft x 10ft

The layout is more or less like this. The black rectangle at the top is the TV, and across it the sofa.

I'm wondering if I should have a full TV table (5ft long) or just a short one that fits the TV. I want to have some houseplants around the TV area so if I have a short table I'd have a bigger pot like this:

If I have a longer table, then I'd have some table pots like this:

Also considering the size of the room, would having the light wood accent wall a good idea? I don't want to have the wall just all white, but I'm not sure if the wood accent would help or not. I don't have those stick and peel wall panel available in my local hardware store so I'm going to either have to look for a vinyl wood flooring (they do have a stick and peel for those).

Next to the wall I plan to put a big faux window mirror because the room will just feel too cramped otherwise.
