How tall should a console table be when used in foyer at door?
Comments (1)The successful height of a console table in your foyer has to do with any aspects of its surroundings. On average, I like to see a console table at least 30" minimum for a foyer. Much depends on what else is in the area, the ceiling height, what you plan to put over the console (if that is planned out), I'm assuming you have asked this question because you have already made a purchase and are now wondering if it works? Comments (4)I'm looking for a coffee table that converts to a sturdy dining table to accommodate 8-10 place settings. I have tight area. It would need to have fold out, expandable top, drop leaf or something of the type. I have seen some that do parts of what I'm looking for, but not quite what I want. I'd also replace the wall sconces to match. Since you have a gold framed mirror perhaps chandelier and sconces in shiny brass. It would go well with the style of your dining set. And yes to lowering the chandelier to 30-36 inches above tabletop....See More
