i actually like the stools but the lights can definitively get replaced. If you even find a chandelier that you like, its not hard to put in. Your contractor would just fix up the ceiling where the old holes were. We did that in the bathroom and you can't tell. I think I would like something that is wider like a chandelier because you have seating there for 4 people.the two there just aren't enough of a statement.

I think you need something a bit bulkier. A multi light pendant might be pretty.

When you replace the stools, I would only do three instead of four.
