Not loving the design of actual piece and doesn't seem to go with your sofa- that one sided scroll is really weird and unbalanced.

I'd look for a metal console table with clean lines.....will complement your couch better. Please don't buy any more dark leather furniture.....it can be very hard to decorate around. It's a stark contrast to your very light, cool walls. What is the rest of your furniture? Do you have, or could you buy, a great rug with a lot of pattern and color?

I would prefer to see something less curvy, less Italianate.

I've come to believe that with wood floors a large and beautiful area rug should be the first decision and then everything else is guided by that. Most people do it the other way around but by that time mistakes have already been made. You have a lovely room, and with your dark couch I would suggest an Oriental carpet with rich and darker colors to ground the sofa. I'm sorry, I also don't care for the console, and think something with clean lines would be more appropriate.

@ingrid - what rug would you recommend?

Looks like you are shopping at Ethan Allen...the only ones I like from there are the Beam Console Table or the Borough Console Table if you are willing to go a little more industrial modern. Its hard for me to understand what your vibe is from only the sofa. The Large Shogun Console Table looks like a maybe if you check out the finish in person.
