Area rug pad advice

Need advice on backing/ rug pad for 11x16 Milliken pinpoint saxony lower pile carpet I’m having bound to go over hardwoods. Suggestions were Monk’s cloth, more of a carpet pad, or carpet protector from HD, or felt? Will have furniture on it so slipping not an issue. Any experience? Thanks much!
