Apple Pie, I don't think the problem is that he hasn't done a search, the problem is finding a rug that "goes" with a raspberry colored sofa when you are red-green color blind. The red is many oriental rugs lean more to a brick red, and wouldn't pair that well. Gonna go look now.

I love your sofa too! Great find! It looks raspberry on my monitor. I agree with lefty47: don't try to match a rug to it. Digging pennydesign's idea of the metallic cowhide. A funky neutral. :)

I love Pennydesigns ideas if you're feeling a bit brave! Green is a natural complement to red/pink. If it were me I'd stay away from patterns and stick with a solid: the pattern is busy enough on it's own. More pattern and I see it getting chaotic.

Have you found any inspiration rooms? I looked at your ideabooks and you have lamps and furniture but no rooms or vignettes. I looked up Edwardian parlour and the images looked dark and busy. Are you planning on painting or keeping the beige?

I think you'll find quite a range of colours that will look smashing with this sofa. Good luck! Hope you'll post progress pictures.

If it were my room I would do a neutral Seagrass. I like the juxtaposition of the formal and the casual.

Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to paint the walls god knows I want to! I'm going to check these all out. I think I may not go as busy as the typical Edwardian style usually is, I'm going to try to cut the clutter to at least half. But I will be going with a salon style art display. I am going to post some design renderings up. I will also hunt up some design inspirations as well.
