Film on water and yellow "thing" in it.

So i walked up to my fish tank this morning to feed them and when i opened the tank it had this film on it i was cleaning my fish tank literally 2 days ago and the water was fine but we are hoping that my fish will reproduce so we put in a plant because we read that they put their babies on the plants but this morning there was a film and with it a yellow piece of something sitting at the top can someone explain whats happening and what i need to do i dont wanna lose all my fish.
