I prefer fiberglass. Where is the home located? The upper end Therma stuff is pretty nice. I really like the Embarq and Signet series from Provia as well as the Waudena slabs in their fiberglass. I can't see a really good reason to go with steel or even wood unless you are an absolute purist on the look. The fiberglass is so good these days and can be stained to a near perfect match with the wood options.

A quality steel door like Pro-Via is a bit harder to dent then the inner gushed cheaper brands. Go with wood if only real wood will give you the look you need. Most wood door are veneered these days and will take a lot of up keep. As Eric said , not much reason not to use fiberglass .

Windows in Washington- House is in Oklahoma. What upper end Thermatru do prefer?

Anyone have any experience w the Fibercraft/Glasscraft doors? I’m checking that brand out too.

+1 on Fiberglass. Its an excellent choice for doors. The Classic Craft I believe is the upper end unit from Thermatru.
