No. Not with a color that dark. It will be a cave, and there will be no diffuse light reflected from the ceiling--just harsh, dark shadows.

Ceilings are white for a reason--a very good reason.

I did not want to judge the hue, everyone sees colors lighter or darker. Mix your blue with one part white to one part blue. It will be very nice. . A 2 feet wide strip of that hue on the vertical ceiling will not be too dark. But if you mix the blue one to one with white, it will make a big difference probably. Do it like 1/4 cup to 1/4 cup, and see if that is light enough. If not, try 1/2 white to 1/4 cup blue, and see if that blue is nicer for your area? Just an idea. Good luck with your painting!

I'd pick a nice, warm white and paint everything the same color. I think it would really open up the space. Add color with bedding, pillows, rugs, etc. Consider removing the curtains and white blinds and adding a pretty roman shade or woven wood blind mounted inside the window.
