Help me with my living room/dining room. 2 sofas? and how many chairs?

I was here a couple of months ago when I 1st bought house and got some good advice but because I had not moved in yet, I didn't have all of the measurements, etc. I'm here now and ready to furnish this mostly empty living space. I really liked the idea of the navy velvet sofa but this room is kinda dark so something lighter may work better?

Do you guys think that 2 sofas facing each other on each side of fireplace and tv over fireplace or 1 sofa facing fireplace? My husband is ok with getting rid of the big armoir now so this is a clean slate.

I would do a large sectional with one side placed where the armoire is and the other facing the fireplace.

The price of that sectional might do for a chair, but $600 microfiber will be done in less than a year, IMO. What is your budget for the living room furniture?

Looking good. Can you exchange the fan for a chandy to be doubled by the mirror? I would like to see the curly willow gone, and I think you can use a much larger area rug. Otherwise, it looks fine.

Is this your furniture or are these the listing photos? You said you needed furniture but the room is full. I would put the TV on the wall where the armoire is, left of the fireplace. Or put the TV in the armoire...

These are the listing photos from the prior owner. The room is empty and I'm looking for help. In the dining room all I have is a table.

I really like this Robin Bruce sofa that a local store has but I was thinking Navy. My husband thinks that is too dark in the room and also not practical with the dog.

But I'm really wanting advice on furniture placement/arrangement. Would you do 2 sofas facing each other and tv over fp or put a console on long wall with tv?

Put the TV over a long, narrow console on the long wall. Don't put it over the FP. I would get one sofa and two, possibly 3, chairs. Place the sofa parallel to the FP and the two chairs perpendicular to the sofa on the right facing the TV area. The third chair would be angled toward the sofa & chairs in front of the left window between the FP and the console. Use a large area rug to ground your conversation area.

This is a pretty room but deceiving. It has two walkways. That takes up 3’ at least on each side. Can you take a black pen and mark the measurements so they are all in same direction. Then take a photo leaving a border so when it posts it can be read and nothing is cut off.

It looks like you might be able to two sofas if you place them in an L shape. You would need to put the TV on the wall where the listing photos have the TV cabinet as well. Look to our design below. It would be like this, just flip the sofa and TV.
