I can't decide on layout OR furniture pieces in my living room, which is very unfortunate considering that this is my last remodel/redesign project in my home. If it were someone else was posting this, I would be able to think of a million options...

Here is what I DO know about what I want in my space:

- The living room is the FIRST thing that people see when I invite them into my home, so I am willing to take some risk with bold design choices.

- The dog stays, so pet friendly materials

- Fireplace stays but will be replaced with an insert and the brick will likely be painted (black or white) - Gold wallpaper stays

- Floors will go... eventually, once the room has been furnished

- A couch that offers seating for 3, with no mechanical reclining (would love to incorporate a quirky ottoman/footstool

- The fan HAS to go

Other design choices throughout my home:

- A lot of antique brass, white and black... some deep greens

- Eggshell and matte finishes

- Subway tiles

- Lots of mirrors

- Lots of natural light

- High ceilings

- I love old hollywood and clean lines of industrial design

Please, any help would be appreciated. Will follow up with photos for anyone who contributes when (and at this rate, IF EVER) the room gets finished!
