Paint Design Dilemma Bedroom

Dark room needs a paint color’

We have a young child’s room that has one window and it is in the back of the house so trees don’t allow much morning light. It’s a dark room. Our house is full of grays and blues and some SW sea salt. I’m looking for a light blue that isn’t a baby blue or a periwinkle. SW icicle and BM iceberg are showing purple hues. We want a color that looks good with pops of aqua, pink, blue.

Anyone know of a color?! Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore colors preferred. Thanks!

I would suggest going with a warm color vs. a cool color such as a light soft yellow or pumpkin.

Sometimes embracing the darkness is the best bet. You could always do a navy. The colors you mentioned will pop nicely off of that.

Palladian Blue? Kind of similar to sea salt but more of a blue than a green, and has a warm feeling to it.

Ok I’m loving the navy idea!!! Any colors in particular you love? I know it’s hard not seeing the room.

any chance to have the trees thinned? (do you own the trees....). an arborist can remove some limbs giving you more light in your house which is a wonderful thing regardless of paint color.
