Exterior Advice

What would you do to give our new home more curb appeal besides landscaping. Shutters would be odd since there is only room on one side?

Brightly painted front door, even a creamy white, along with completely new landscaping.

^This is bright white, maybe a creamy white would work a bit better with your brown brick.

How about a yellow front door - sort of a mellow yellow, not bright

Agree, no shutters, brighter door, container plantings, landscaping for sure. Try the Landscape Design forum for ideas. Cute house.

You could paint the trim a blue to match a blue door. The suggestion to add some siding material to the peaks is a good one--kind of a reverse of the house shown below:

Landscaping with light paths and mulching would lighten the house as well.

Landscaping as suggested. Depending upon your climate, I would be tempted to go for a “cottage” look, adding white “Iceberg” roses, that way your windows will appear more intentional ( for lack of a better term ). Also, some nice carriage lights, brighter front door. A really nice looking house, landscaping will make a huge difference.
