Is this a type of ginseng?

I was told by the vendor this was ginseng and that it's typically prepared cooked but it looks nothing like ginseng from Google images. What is it?

    I found it's name. Botanically it's Talinum triangulare. Common names for it include jewels of opar, Philippine spinach, waterleaf , and Suriname purslane amongst others.
