I've had a purple helleborus in my backyard for several years (I think it's 'Grape Galaxy'). It does have a nice purple color when it first starts to bloom, but as the blooms fade the color isn't nearly as intense. I've never had this issue with my green flowering helleborus. It keeps those beautiful green blooms up until early June when it finally stops. Anyways, which hellebores retain their color best for you?
