What to do with 80 inch wide space after tub is removed?

Jamie Webb

We are gutting the bathroom and removing the tub we don't use. We both have 80" wide vanities so we really don't need any more cabinets/drawers and our designer suggested a built-in bench with a back. It's the first thing you see when you come in the bathroom and the block glass mirror will be replaced with a regular window surrounded by Calcutta Marble and looking out onto nice landscaping like bamboo OR a glass installation. We do need a bench but my husband isn't sure this will look nice with floating cabinets. My friend likes the idea of doing a 17" deep row of one drawer cabinets with blank space underneath and buying a standalone bench. Any other ideas welcome. Walls simply painted at this point if we choose the tile with movement. First photo is designers rendering with built-in bench with back.
