June is definitely bustin out all over, you are a wonderful gardener. My foxgloves are running rampant this year. Last year I had about 10 (front & back), this year I have more than 30! I adore them.

You really have fabulous roses and so harmonious beds!

Just spectacular, Marlorena! I’m of course partial to Felicia, and she looks great with all her companions. I love all pink roses, but Felicia has something special. One thing that makes her “pink” stand out from the others, I think, is the “powdered” look to her blooms. The pink seems to be dusted with baby powder. I love that soft look. I planted apricot foxglove with my Felicia, but one bloomed before her, and the others haven’t bloomed yet. I love the cream colored foxglove you have. The Poets Wife is beautiful! I need to add some yellows. She looks like she might not like the heat, though. I love your grass in the tall blue pot, as well. Is it a Carex, or Japanese Forest grass? Just beautiful, I always look forward to your pictures. Glad you were able to post them:). Lisa

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you liked my roses today..

Lisa... oh thanks again, so much, yes it's one of those Japanese grasses Hakonechloa 'aureola' I think it's spelt...

Baby powder pink is an apt description for 'Felicia', it would be hard not to like this rose...

I've just sown some more foxgloves for next year, I prefer to sow my own seeds for these...

Just absolutely gorgeous, and the full bush shots are particularly appreciated. Those would be great to post on hmf because usually they emphasize flower only shots. I particularly like the Wild Rover bush since I tried that one many years ago only to have it die over the winter. It isn't obtainable any more in the US that I can find, but the color is indeed intriguing and unique.

Thanks Cynthia... and for the reminder about hmf.. I keep forgetting to put pictures on there...

I love 'Wild Rover' too.. it's not one you hear much about... I have a seedling from it coming along, but I don't think it's going to bloom this year, I was hoping it might..

Hi Marlorena, I do not want to get into the "Houzz" conversation, but how did you manage to place all those photos in o0ne go, did you use a different platform/device. ?

In your area do they have an "open garden scheme" which the home owner can open thier garden to the public and donate any funds collected to charity, if so I would attend yours definitely., it is gorgeous.

These are all stunning pictures, Marlorena, but my favorite I think is The Ancient Mariner. Lady of Shallot has such an incredible color. I don't know if it's your climate or your soil, or a combination of both, but your roses have such deep, saturated colors, especially the golden yellows.

Ingrid thanks... I've been lucky so far with no rain for a month to spoil anything, and none in my forecast for 2 weeks, so it keeps going.. the colours are good without the heat..

David.. thanks again... I managed with some practice to post these photos, but I found it's easier not to include them in the first post..

I think there is an open garden scheme here, most areas have them, but I'm not in it.. my garden is a bit iffy for that, health and safety reasons [they might get scratched, or fall in to a bush]… thanks so much...

A bounty of beauty, Marlorena. Makes me wonder why I bother! Trish

I get the same feeling every time I see Marlorena’s garden, Trish. I love looking at all the photos, but they leave me feeling pretty inadequate. I might as well get over it, because things aren’t likely to improve around here.

Marlorena, I hoped you’d know what “Japanese Forest Grass”, I meant! I had no clue how to spell it, so that’s what I called it. You spelt it much better than I would have, and it looks correct to me. I’ve wanted that grass, but it likes moisture, so I decided it wouldn’t last long here. It’s also very pricey, and slow growing. I love seeing yours. Do your foxgloves self sow? I put only the apricot ones out front, so they would sow true. Lisa

Beautiful, Marlorena! Thank you so much. I'm going to peruse them later after daughter is tucked in.

I noticed that you managed to upload a STRING of multiple photos. Applause!! Carol

Thanks so much once again... you all have lovely gardens, including yours Trish, I've seen them.. but I know what it's like, sometimes I see a rose in another member's garden and think that I'd never grow it so well, so no point in me trying ..

Lisa, yes my foxgloves self sow, but I also grow fresh for the following year.. I like to choose my colours... I was impressed that you knew the grass, I'm not sure I would have known that.. I like it as it does well in sun or shade...

Carol... yes I got a bit of practice in there... thanks again...

I just love looking at your garden. Gorgeous! The Ancient Mariner is so pretty! I also love the mushroom I saw in one of the pictures as well. It is made of stone? Adorable!

When I see Marlorena's pictures, I feel inspired!! That kind of cottage garden exuberance is quite hard to do. I'm full of admiration!

Like Ingrid, I would also say that 'The Ancient Mariner' is my favorite in this set of photos. (Though others are spectacular for sure.) The splendor of your garden simply escapes the words. B.E.A.U.T.Y.

Beautiful as always! Is that your neighbor's yard in the background of the Wild Rover picture? I see nothing but grass over there :)

My favorite is Lady of Shallot. I grew it, but didn't have it in a good spot, and didn't have a better one to offer so moved it to the town garden I volunteer with. It's doing well there. I'm surprised how yellow yours is. It always leaned more towards orange for me (another reason I didn't mind donating it since I'm not a big orange fan).

Oh, Wild Rover is incredible! I wish it were available here. The Poets Wife is beautiful yellow - love see it. I wish I could grow foxglove like you - they add so much charm to your garden.

Oh Marlorena, lovely roses, but I am so angry that I cannot view them properly. They are all tiny on my computer. If I enlarge my screen 250%, I can see them a little better, but the script runs off of the side of the screen.

    Thanks everyone...

Daisy, I'm sorry about that, wish there was something I could do...

Chris... yes over the fence is a field. My neighbour is a nurseryman who grows Delphiniums [strangely they die in my garden]... he cuts the grass about once a year.. thanks so much..

Dave,Swamp rose, vesfl.. thanks again, glad you looked in here..
