The walls are light grey, doors are white, cabinets are a dark brown with a hint of red. The bar has a Walnut top that I rubbed with oil. The appliances are stainless. Molding is all white, Fan matches the cabinets. Light fixtures in the kitchen are stainless. The fish tank is black. The wall beside the fish tank is a giant cat scratch post(dark grey indoor/outdoor carpet from floor to ceiling on the end of the half wall) I can take pictures if needed.

I'm to the point where I am finishing floating the ceiling. I had to replace the roof last year and it had leaked a little but it wasn't obvious the extent of the damage til I removed all the popcorn. I'm almost done skim-coating the ceiling and I'm probably going to do knockdown on it when I'm done.

I have lighting to install but I'm not sure what I'm doing yet everywhere. I have automation switches and bulbs that I'll be installing. I have 3 drop lights for over the island and I'm trying to decide lighting for the living room aside from the big ceiling fan we have.

The problem is that permanent lighting that goes over a couch or chair individually would limit my ability to rearrange my house in my opinion, so I want to get it right.

This is how it is set up now. The cat box is a piece of furniture I put a door on and a carbon exhaust filter on a timer, not just a box sitting on the floor. The chair is fairly new and is a brown microfiber, the couch is a slightly lighter microfiber but I'm ready to replace it. The cat furniture can be changed any color. The TV is mounted to the wall with a sound bar under it and all the wires run through the wall to my HTPC on the other side. The scale is obviously bad, so I put the measurements up. The TV is 4' from the left wall and 8 inches from the right wall.

I'm not against moving the TV, furniture, fish tank, ect.

I'm a pretty boring guy. I wouldn't mind an accent chair but I've always had brown/tan/black furniture. I'd prefer microfiber because cats and leather/vinyl don't mix. I'm indifferent to what kind of seating and I wouldn't mind theater style chairs, a sectional, or whatever. Thoughts?
