Best roof and gutter/trim colors

need of updates. They are having a difficult time choosing a roof and gutter color. They are thinking black architectural shingles (Certainteed Landmark), and a cream color gutter. They are having the garage door and all window trim repainted that cream as well. They would paint the front door a darker sage or gray blue. This is how the house was when they bought it. Would this be a good choice, or do you have any other ideas?

What is the location? If in Texas (or elsewhere in the South) a black roof will increase the amount of heat in the attic and increase the cost of air conditioning in the summer, which can be significant. To compensate for the dark roof, consider extra insulation in the attic, combined with power roof ventilation, and more vents in the soffit. It looks like the soffit is also going to need a good cleaning to get rid of that black mold or mildew before it is painted.

Thank you for your response! They are in Indiana. The soffits are being power washed and replaced where necessary. The roofer is going to add about 8 more roof vents when the new roof goes on regardless of color. There is inadequate ventilation. Any thoughts on the color palate?
