Help Selecting Modern-Eclectic Livingroom Furniture

My partner is decorating his new apartment from scratch and needs some help selecting key pieces (70”+ tv stand, coffee table and at least one end table) for his living-room. His style is modern but he loves touches of warmth so likes the Scandinavian and industrial and rustic feel as well.

Since his taste is so broad, I’m including two rooms below that I know he loves although there are many more in different styles.

Edmunds House · More Info

Estilo industrial · More Info

He has already purchased the sofa below in the exact charcoal grey.

He also really loves this glossy tv stand and these barstools, but is open to other options as well.

The personal challenge I am facing is finding a coffee table that adds some warmth to the space while anchoring the other pieces together as well.

And the final kicker is that he has this bar he inherited that needs to blend with the design. I was thinking is replacing the tile on top with a slate grey.

Before spending a lot of money rebuilding the bar, try to stock the bar and see how it looks. The marble top could be covered to the point that it doesn’t show up very much.

The bar looks really nice stocked, so I’ll probably leave it for now. Maybe later I’ll replace the tile/marble slab at the top which would be really inexpensive. I’ll send a picture of it stocked later so you can see.

@havingfun, I really like that coffee table and that floor lamp! They are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing some ideas!

shall i get rid of the rest so there is more space for new? please guide with things like color so we can buy the right things. all of those are reasonable so you should look them up.

These were my final recommendations, including the lamp you recommended @havingfun. So, we will see what he ultimately decides.

The couch we’d already purchased and the tv stand, we liked so much, he bought it today.

The mid-century coffee table for the clean lines, the color that ties in with his bar without being too matchy and the style fits in with the mid century design we did in his bedroom.

This very beautifully patterned rug which had hints of gray to hide the dogs hair when it’s shedding. I also think it’s a nice pattern to anchor the space.

The livingroom, kitchen and dining space are all open to each other.

Chose this dining table and dining chairs because I like that it has the wood at the base without being too much wood. I thought this was important because it will be right next to the bar. Also, like the plastic surfaces as they need to function as a painting/art space for his 6 year old daughter. Oh! And teal is his favorite color.

Fabric barstools to add some warmth to the kitchen/dining area that is not more wood.

For accessories, I recommended @havingfuns lamp in gold. Everything else including greenery, throw pillows and drapes, I plan to get locally. He already owns lots of awesome art and nicknacks to decorate as well.
