If you have 2 soap dispensers how did you place them? Single bowl sink with veggie ledge (Blanco), 2 soap dispensers, single hole faucet and air switch. Any pictures? Lookkng it up online and not finding much.

I'd space them at 8" on center from the faucet.

I wouldn’t do 2 soap dispensers. Ever. 1 is enough trouble.

I use hand soap in my dispenser. I wash dishes once a day but I wash my hands a dozen times a day. It made more sense to just take the dish soap bottle from under the sink once a day than to submit my hands to dish soap all day long.

Thanks everyone. We do want 2, we use different soap for hands and dishes and I hand wash dishes throughout the day as needed (mainly pots and pans and such). I want to limit stuff sitting on the counter, and that is where it would end up.

Joseph - I will look at 8” spacing, thanks.

we didn’t get to install the granite for the sink yesterday because of a cut issue. It will be next week before it can be installed. If anyone has pictures of 2 dispensers I’d love to see them.

Sounds like you need an extra DW, not an extra soap dispenser. The DW uses less than half of the water and energy that hand washing does. Hand washing is a waste of time and effort.

Sorry Sophie - I don’t agree. That may be true if I was hand washing plates, cups, silverwear etc but it takes very little time, energy or water to hand wash pots and pans. Since they are large and take up a lot of space, if I put them in the DW then the dishwasher is full very quickly and needs to be run more often. Many times if you cook something that sticks on you have to scrub that off before putting it in the DW anyway, so you might as well have hand washed it.

This may be a bit late, but we are doing 2 soap dispensers. To be installed Monday. I still handwash a few things and I dislike my Costco sized soap container always being out on the counter. Our counters were literally just set 25 hours ago so I am playing around with my 5 - yes FIVE - holes in my countertop while we wait for plumber to come Monday. I love it. I saw similar images on Pinterest, so I went with something like this. You are right....it is difficult to search. I just looked through a million kitchen images until I found someone with a similar set up. Sorry my faucet is not fully in - so it is sitting at an angle without hand support. My husband was a hand model but I think this attached picture does a better job, even if my main faucet is not fully supported for that minute.

My countertop installer did something like Joseph recommended in terms of spacing.

I listened to the community here in previous posts to make sure the soap dispenses into the sink - not the counter - so I bought slightly longer handles. In case you don't know, they said that the soap will ruin a countertop, so be sure it pumps into your sink.

I also bought 2 Never MTs on Amazon so my Costco sized containers or Mrs Meyers and dish soap can sit under my counter to avoid refilling all the time.

The other two remaining holes are reverse osmosis and air switch.

It feels so much cleaner to me than having soap containers that sit out what feels like all the time.

    Hope this helps!

And then without the main faucet sink (note: nothing is attached....or installed....I just waited the required 24 hours to avoid moving my sink while it set, lol).

    Good luck!

Thanks Elizabeth! We had a delay till next Wed so not too late at all. Question - if you weren’t having the reverse osmosis water would you have done it differently? We will have 4 holes, faucet, 2 soap dispensers and the air switch. Thinking of doing a dispenser on each side for symmetry, but I still have to put the air switch somewhere.

Oh, this is fun! I am glad to have a fellow 2 soap dispenser ally out there!

Ok, I just got the main faucet mounted so it is stabilized now (and honestly, I can stare at it all weekend now too...so win/win). I removed the reverse osmosis so you could see with 2 soaps and air switch.

I think I would leave it like that....but center the air switch a bit between the 2 holes on that side. I like how the air switch and one of the soap dispensers kind of define the outer area.

Keep in mind that I am right handed and have always had my soaps (bottles) on the left hand side.

Here is how it looks minus my reverse osmosis....

Let me know if you want me to switch anything around ....nothing else is secured in as they just sit on top of the counter right now.

And just for fun... took shot of the soaps on either side. Sorry lighting is so bad....getting resolved next week too.

I still prefer the soaps together because of being right-handed. But it is your kitchen. Honestly, you can always move it if you had too (other than the holes themselves).

Thank you Elizabeth! That is SO helpful!

I only have one soap dispenser, but this is how I am going to arrange the fixtures on my main sink and island sink. Wish we didn't have to have an air gap for DW, but it is required in our town.

No problem. Glad I could help. BTW - like Joseph said, the first set of holes are 8" from the main sink and the outer holes are each 12" from the center. I have a 32" sink.

Thanks chispa- I have seen a few pictures with the dispenser at the corner. I will have to give that some thought.

Sounds like you need an extra DW, not an extra soap dispenser. The DW
uses less than half of the water and energy that hand washing does. Hand
washing is a waste of time and effort.

    Two thoughts:

    - By the time you consider the additional square feet, the additional countertop, and the appliance itself, a duplicate dishwasher is a very expensive proposition.

    - Money aside, any number of kitchen items are better off being hand washed.

Thanks everyone. We do want 2, we use different soap for hands and
dishes and I hand wash dishes throughout the day as needed (mainly pots
and pans and such). I want to limit stuff sitting on the counter, and
that is where it would end up.

I've thought those very things, but I wonder if I'd constantly be telling other people, "The one on the right is hand soap."

Yes, you will be telling people which is which! Had no built in dispensers in the kitchen we just gutted and had two clear acrylic dispensers on the counter. One had clear Ivory hand soap and the other blue Dawn. People would still ask which was the right one!

I will be doing hand soap in the built in dispenser and keeping the bottle of Dawn under the sink, to be pulled out when needed.

I will likely respond "soap is soap" when asked this question if one cannot figure it out. The family will learn if they make the "mistake". It's not like one of the soap dispenser dispenses, say bleach or vinegar or some kind of poison to avoid at all costs.

99-100% of the time I am the only person who cleans the handwash items anyway. Hubby loads dishes, but leaves the others for me.

The Costco size felt like it was always out and refilling a pretty bottle every few days/week is not my thing anymore. I have other things I want to do in life. I have a lot of high hopes pegged on this Never MT gadget.

I am thrilled to get rid of the dish soap bottle 100% of the time to be asked fewer than 1-2% of times, if not less than that, which soap is which. ;)

Well, I guess we can add me to the 2 dispensers club. And I know I'll have gone beyond the pale for some, but there's going to be *lotion* in my second dispenser. I couldn't be happier to not have a bunch of bottles cluttering my sink area and creating slimy water underneath.

In order, from left to right: lotion, air gap, faucet, air switch, soap.

Still renovating, but the faucet is finally installed.

Lizzie - How great is it to have the sink back??? I can only dream. We were supposed to get the sink and appliances back on Mon but the fabrication error on the sink cut out put us behind. ETA end of next week hopefully! I never knew I could miss a sink so much!

kazmon - right?! and who knew washing dishes in the bathroom would feel so.. creepy, lol!

I like the 2 soap dispensers next to each other best. Will the bottles fit underneath if you don't have the never mt?

I also just have dawn in my one, and we use it to wash hands. It works and it's gentle IMO. Funny for me I like the soap on the right as a right hander. I have the sponge in that hand and pump with the same hand.

I also turned the handle of the faucet so it is in the sink and drips don"t end up on the counter. Everyone else thinks it is weird but as the wiper, I like it!

Elizabeth you’re going to love the Never MT.

kidshop, I am still debating turning the handle forward, specially with the Franke faucets which, to me, are backwards. Hot is forward and cold is to the back. Previous faucets were the reverse. With having to push the handle backwards to get cold water, you get even more drips on the counter as the wet hand has to reach further back to turn it off.

I got a NeverMT for each dispenser too.
