Should I prune potted rose? Bloom opening too early

Hey I have a couple questions for you all. My first is about an Earth Angel potted about 3 weeks ago. Had a few blooms from the nursery but they dried and wilted very fast so I clipped them as well as the small blooms that I figured wouldn't open. Also clipped a handful of dead leaves here and there and took these pictures yesterday. Standing just under 2 feet tall but not very sturdy. Should I clip all the brown leaves and prune to a shorter height?

Not sure if this is a question cause we'll just have to see what happens but I planted a Frida Kahlo about 7 weeks ago and ended up overwatering for the first 3 weeks (very hot at the time). Had a ton of blooms from the nursery, a good amount ended up burnt but kinda came back. The rest that hadn't opened ended up fine but didn't last long. I deadheaded as they started dropping petals.

So now blooms are coming back and for the last week or so we've had a lot of rain. Not all day or everyday but when it drops it has been a lot of water. So you can see in the picture that this bloom looks like it started opening up too early? First picture is from yesterday and second is this morning. Maybe from my overwatering, the rain, or something else? First bloom to open is fine, maybe a little smaller than the first flush

Thank you for looking!

Mike

Ok I see. Very interesting stuff. Thank you very much I will relax and watch them grow!

What Moses said! Also, just so you know, if a leaf has green on it it is still capable of feeding the plant. So you don't want to remove those leaves with the brown edges. The plant will discard them when it's done with them. Otherwise, looking at the plants in your photos, they look pretty healthy!

Oh ok I didn't know that, just let nature take its course. Thank you very much. Sorry for the late response

Earth Angel seems to be doing well, I see some new growth. Unfortunately it looks like more blooms are doing the same on Frida Kahlo. I'm going to say it's a combination of: adjusting to new conditions, overwatering, random heavy rains, and maybe unidentified tiny bugs. Yikes... I hope this time next year they will be ok. There are more newly planted rose bushes in the same area that I feel I acclimated correctly so we'll see how they turn out.

I picked up a beautiful Earth angel at home depot. It was loaded with buds it was so beautiful and healthy. I got it in the ground and everything dried up. I trimmed off all the buds because I knew they were all crispy and weren't going to do anything. The bottom leaves dried up so I removed them. I gave it lots of water and now 4 weeks later It is looking really great with new growth . Sometimes it just takes a while for them to settle in. Honestly, I was a little bit worried about my new Earth angel but it's looking great and yours will too.

Again I'm sorry for my late response and thank you for the comment. Earth Angel is looking better with new growth. Frida Kahlo is still interesting. All the blooms are actually opening up but they are drying up and wilting in the sun the day they open up unless we have a cloudy day.

Two other rose bushes that we have are getting ready to open up (these two started very small with no flowers and have been in full sun for awhile). So I'm curious if the blooms will last longer than Frida Kahlo.

Edit: Or maybe move her in the fall to a more shady area for next summer. And another edit, I just talked to the local nursery and it sounds like mites are doing this to the Frida Kahlo....
