Roman tub drain filler

Can anyone give advice on a roman tub filler that fills from the overflow drain eliminating the need for taps? In particular the OS&B https://osb.ca/products/downloads/OS&B-Fill&Drain-Installation-1-24-18.pdf.

Do they leak break quickly?

Anyone else used a different manufacture? suggestions please.
