kjoy1, I’v never done that. It looks almost like a gray/beige color. Doesn’t look very good, does it?

I have to say it...looks like an apartment kitchen in white:( sorry

Julie, do you know how to do photoshop? I would love to see how worldly gray would look. I tried to do it with SW site but it came out terrible. I know, I don’t like the way that looks either.

Here’s falling snow from Behr website. The color is probably changing from our screens. Although I think in this pic the lights are on. Argh!! That looks better doesn’t it?

This time I used the bottom left cabinet to do my color match...I think maybe the top cabinets had a yellow hue due to your yellow paint color...

Worldly Gray... HIWE will have to let you know if it is an accurate presentation...

Kjoy1 thank you so much. It’s amazing how the yellow hue does that. Did you see the one I posted from the Behr site, what do you think about any of them?

I'm just really not sure an exact match is the right move. I'm all for white on white, but exactly the same color is more extreme because even white has a color. The user E D just did their kitchen in all Chantilly lace, I stole some pictures off the post to help you judge if you like it.
25% darker for the walls really would be much better, but only if the color "stays true" which you'd have to try an actual paint swatch to determine. Sometimes funny things happen when you darken light colors.

I love the color of worldly gray, but that lrv is throwing me off, it's just very dark relative to typical whole-home neutrals... but Julie would know better than me since she has it in her home. I just worry about the lower ceiling heights hurting you with the darker color. What looks good in one home doesn't necessarily in another.

ElleN, I just painted that little strip where there isn’t any yellow. What do you think now? The walls will be flat and trim will be semi gloss which will give it dimension. Thank you for posting the pics above. But I have to keep in mind that I have a different color countertop so I don’t want so many different colors competing with each other. Pics, light off in first pic light on second pic.

I understand your counters are different, just wanted to show what identical wall colors look like. Your counters will stand out more if you don't have any other depth in the room, which is why I said to try it darkened. Sometimed more color = more cohesive. But if you like the identical color whites it's not like you'd be making a mistake, it will definitely still look good.

ElleN, I figured I’d paint it the same color. If I hate the way it looks, I can always add a darker color where the bay window is. Thank you for all your help!

I'm sure youll be happy with it!

Thank you Julie, I will post pics. My painter told me today he won’t be able to do it for at least of couple of weeks. I’m going to look for a picture for the wall to the right of bay window in the mean time. Julie you’re a doll and I do appreciate all your help. Thank you so much.

Good afternoon ladies, I have another dilemma. Haha! When I ordered the kitchen Chandalier it came in with one globe that needed to be replaced. To make a long story short they sent me another one. So my question is not using the glass globes can I put that in my foyer? The ceiling in the foyer is 12’ high and there is a window. Tell me if you think I could use it there? So this chandy without the globes and I’m not sure what type of bulb yet. Please disregard my dirty window, there was a wasp nest so I had to spray it and it’s filthy, lol

So basically I have a second one that was free.

Good afternoon ladies, finally got the paint done in the kitchen. Now I need help to choose a picture for the wall on the right in the first pic.. Wall 81.5” wide height 9’ ceiling. Any suggestions?

Hi B:) Your kitchen is looking so fresh, bright, and modern...I hope you are happy with it! Are you looking for colorful art or black and white? This piece is the first thing that popped into my mind...but I am afraid it would be too large as each piece is 26 x 34...maybe you could use 4 instead of 6...

Here are a few others that I liked...

    Looks so nice B!

the white really toned down all the gold in the space....I would completely avoid adding any art with gold in it...just not necessary...you have a clean palette only need to incorporate the black...pick any art you like and add some color! Why not:) if I see something I will send it your way!

kjoy1, thank you! I like the third one. Where did you find that one?

Hey Julie, I’m trying to figure out what size picture should I be looking for.? The width of the wall is 81.5” wide the height of the ceiling is 9’. Or do you think that will close the room in and make it look narrower that what it is?

Should take up 2/3rds of the wall...and art shape should be similar to wall shape so in your case...vertical hung rectangle is the shape I would pick...I love big art!

So about 54” width? So you’re saying to look for a verticl picture? Any ideas? Thank you!

No brilliant decor ideas but I love the white paint job!
Actually I lied, After some thought I think a black and white gallery wall would be great.

Thank you ElleN! I actually have been looking for black and white pics. I wanted to find something kitcheny looking. Everything I see is horizontal instead of vertical.

    Hey B

this is so fun just had to post it...

I don't think it needs to be kitchen related. Focus more on the vibe of the rest of your house. Maybe some fabulously dressed women, like from the roaring twenties. Some abstracts. A close up of coffee beans or a bridge or a clock... a city block... etc.

Thank you Julie, it is fun looking. Lol

Thanks ElleN, I’m still looking. If you see any pic, post it I’m open to anything.

Thank you ElleN, I really would like to find something already framed. Of course, I’m not looking to spend a fortune so that’s not helping either. Haha!

Frames are so easy! They have a million at Michael's. Download the app and you can get 50% off most weeks. 6 8x10 frames will only run you $20 or so. If you get the download and print Etsy pictures you can get them at walgreens for like $4 each for 8x10s.

You’re too sweet, I don’t think I want six frames either. I like a clean and simple look. The room isn’t very wide so I don’t want to close it in by putting too many frames. I may even look for something in metal with an open feeling.
