Hello, Are these gingers ready to plant in soil?

So I put these 3 store bought rhizomes in water a month ago + they all have sprouted well. However they have no roots. Will they will grow roots eventually after I plant them? I'm afraid they may rot once I transplant them. I believe there was an article about growing ginger here once but it has since been removed so any advice in soil + watering gingers would be appreciated! Thanks
