Angled backsplash

I just had my new Carrara Caldia Quartz countertops installed. The stone is beautiful btw. I’m curious how you would have had the backsplash done? I feel like the angles should have been lined up. At least that’s how my previous 4” wood backsplash was installed. Did they do a sloppy job or am I expecting too much?
