Bathroom sink faucets - Would you buy this?

I've been looking for bathroom sink faucets and decent widespreads are over $150 each. I've not used this type of waterfall faucet over a normal, rectangle undermount sink. Is there anything I should consider about a waterfall faucet? This one is on sale for $60 and I need 3 of them

    No name faucet.

This is what StarBuilders has to say about the seller:

Yescom USA, Inc. is a California corporation founded in 2002 and owned by Andy Dao Quang Lee. Mr. Lee also owns or has a significant interest in Aplus Capital Investment, LLC, and Adl Capital Investment, LLC, both California limited liability companies.

Yescom USA is an opportunistic importer of goods, primarily from China. It will import anything on which it can get a good price. For example, a shipment received on April 17, 2018 included faucets, display cases, flashlights, wall-mounted grow lights, menu holders, bed frames, rabbit cages, wireless rear view cameras for automobiles, gardening tents, umbrellas, tattoo machines, mini egg incubators and watch display boxes.

It imports through a broker in China and not directly from any manufacturers.

It's faucets and other sanitary wares are just a few of the many hundreds of different products in its inventory. They are sourced from diverse manufacturers. In fact, it is doubtful that anyone at Yescom knows where the faucets it sells are made. They are not, however, certified to U.S./Canadian standards and are not legal under federal law to sell in the U.S.

When it comes to quality, I would stick to Delta and Kohler. Their designs may not be high end in their more budget conscious products, but they'll be safe and reliable. You can always upgrade the design of the faucets later when you have more wiggle room in the budget.

Thanks everyone. I'll pass. Very good points.

Rita, good obeservation about the mixed style. I didn't pick up on that. Some of the faucets look tall enough to give a giraffe a drink and they're pictured with undermounts. I'd get it if they were vessel sink faucets, so I'm wondering why they are tall. Has something radically changed in faucets? I am planning to go widespread.

FWIW, my neighbor has one of those open trough style spouts and she has to wipe it every time she uses it because otherwise it spots. Perhaps other finishes are more forgiving.

I am getting a Phylrich widespread faucet and the same "style" comes with a low and high top of spout. If you want a lower spout, they are easy to find.

I kind of like the high spout but I don't want it to look like a kitchen faucet or weird with an undermount. I'd hate to get it and then be ridiculous because it's not for a bathroom undermount.

Best to purchase tried and true. Consider the cost of not only buying better faucets in the future but also the cost of a plumber to do it and your time and aggravation as well.

Have you been to a good faucet store to look at stuff in person. Even if you don't buy there, nothing replaces visiting high quality showrooms to get a real sense of what things look like.

You will see that the high faucets are sized proportionately for bathrooms and are nowhere near the height of a high kitchen faucet. A kitchen faucet can be 15" to 18" high generally.

I went to Ferguson today. I was just hoping that I could get a decent faucet on sale since I need 3 of them. They last forever of course if they’re good. I will spend the money since I don’t want any plumbing problems and I do have the budget for it. Wm. If only you knew how funny it is to suggest I would DIY - Not. A. Chance. :-)

I meant to add that at Ferguson I saw the tall bathroom faucets, but I guess I’ve not really paid attention to them before now. I thought they looked really tall above the bathroom sinks. One of those things I will get used to.

Personally, I like low faucets in the bathroom. That or simple wall mounted ones. I am not a fan of the miniature kitchen faucet in the bathroom look.

This is nit my faucet but the higher version doesn’t look like a kitchen faucet and I think is more graceful than the stubbier low version.

Yes, that was my initial thought was it looked like a mini scale kitchen. I figured it’s a new look and I might get used to it and eventually like it. I don’t think I’ve seen them anywhere unless I’m just not paying enough attention. Tomorrow I will see them everywhere I go probably.

Oh Helen, not at all what I mean. That’s not tall compared to what I was speaking about.

I see what you mean, Helen. I was talking about bathroom faucets that really are just like the Dornbracht Tara or Meta, but a little smaller for a bathroom.

I saw the really high ones that look like kitchen faucets and I agree they look ridiculous. Perhaps in a very specific style but I can’t imagine in any kind of normal sthroom however modern and contemporary

Those handles don't go with the spout. For my bathroom remodel, I'm going to choose something from Delta.

Here's the wide version of that Delta Mandara (you probably don't want to get it at HD)

Right, Rita, the ones I saw that surprised me were maybe 7-9" tall spouts. Looked like a mini kitchen faucet.
