Bathroom colors-wall/trim/vanity/medicine cabinet

My bathroom sucks. The toilet and tub are staying. They're biscuit. Had I known eight years ago that I would wish I'd gone with white, I would've gone with white. However, I grew up in a house that thought white was the devil (OMG IT'S SO HARD TO CLEAN!) and I carried that w/me. Now that I've been looking into things myself for the last many years, I've come to appreciate white. Anyway, for the foreseeable future, I've got biscuit to work with. The flooring will be going, but it will be probably a year before that happens. It will be replaced w/a wood look Super Core SPC flooring. Also-I know the lighting is atrocious-new bulbs will hopefully help that.

I am thinking to do something w/the walls, vanity, medicine cabinets. (the door to the right of the mirror goes to the hall closet and will be removed, so it will just be wall there.) Strip and restain? Sand and paint? A little of both? The shower curtain is luckily easily replaceable as well. The sink is taupe-ish/beige I think, cream, brown, what looks like either dark charcoal or black, and a few sparkly gold flecks scattered willy nilly.

I like this paint, if that helps https://fusionmineralpaint.com/colours/ for the vanity/mirror (they have stains as well) and I'm open to other ideas as well. And whatever brand of paint for the walls, doesn't matter. Thank you!

I would like the bathroom to be "quiet" like these colors

Oh Missi, such a lovely soft palette. I would see BM Beach glass on your walls, light coloured vanity and if you're a little artistic, painted mirror frame as in image below....

this seems like a good paint consult (this is where the idea for beach glass green came from): https://www.thecreativityexchange.com/2016/06/go-paint-colors.html

Thanks for all that Agnes! Beach Glass is one of the ones I have saved in my pinterest board! https://www.pinterest.com/missijorogge/bathroom/

I *almost* changed my mind on the seafoamy colors b/c that's what my daughter wants for her bedroom walls and I didn't want the two rooms to be too similar, but I think in her room I can do some more "bold" things, to help differentiate between the two...like I could paint her mirror in a dark plum, things like that maybe would help make it so it doesn't look like the bathroom.

Soft, that's the word I was looking for..quiet works too, but soft is what I couldn't express.

What would you do for the faucet and the other metals in the room? I'm open to any there as well, ORB, brushed whatever..my frog knobs I can paint if need be also.

Glad you're getting help in other thread. I'm not into wild colours, patterns, or painting tile floirs, so I'll bow out. Good luck!

Aw, Agnes, don't bow out-it's going to be a pretty sedate bathroom!

hey, I made some comments to you on the DIY thread just now. Go back to your original inspiration at the beginning of this thread and find some sea glass/pale aqua/

I think a little blush color goes a long way. Use that at the end to add a little contrast. Maybe as trim on a simple shower curtain, soap/lotion dispensers, or in a little art to finalize it.

Personally, I'm thinking using the color on your walls, and painting the vanity an off-white color. Pick a shade out of your counter top. Get some samples and paint several poster boards and see what looks best.

Keep it simple! The pops and bling can be added at the end.
