statuario marble 12X 12 or 18X18 for master bathroom

Originally was going to go with an 18X18 marble floor tile but when we looked at the actual tiles the veining wasn’t all that pretty. The same supplier has these tiles shown below in 12X12. They’re so beautiful but my only worry is will they look too busy on the bathroom floor? Any advice? I know smaller tiles also means more grout lines. The other option is with another supplier that’s more pricey for the 18X 18 and paying a couple thousand more than originally planned.
I also added pics of the shower floor (hex) and the accent tile on the shower wall.

7 years agoI had the same concerns. I went with Ocean Silver marble in 12x24 on my floor which is 200 sq. ft. I used the same 12x24 on the bottom 2/3 of my shower and the top is Thassos marble in herringbone.
The shower feels busy to me, but my floor does not. Maybe it’s the lighting. They’re still working so sorry that most of it is covered. You may want to look at the profile for nidnay; her marble bathroom is beautiful.
