Wasps taking over mason bee house

I put up a mason bee house this spring. I’ve noticed some of the tubes are occupied, presumably by leaf cutter bees. Just recently I noticed many wasps or yellow jackets hanging out in the top opening. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them without harming the bees? My neighbor has a wasp trap set up nearby and it appears to just attract wasps/yellow jackets as I don’t see any bees in it. Will the wasps hurt the bees or prevent them from utilizing the bee house?

This is the bee house I have, the slit up at the top (and inside) are where the wasps are.
