Update on removable wallpaper on dresser - project progress picture

A few weeks ago, I asked for advice on using a removable wallpaper on the drawer fronts of a small dresser. After posting an inspiration picture and a picture of the dresser, I was told it would not work and would be a broken-up mess. Another response, however, included a few other inspiration pictures with drawer fronts more similar to the project dresser and thought is would be fine. We (my daughter and I - the dresser is in her new apartment) went ahead and here it what we have, so far. There are no drawer pulls on yet because we are not sure what to do.

And here is one more picture with my daughter holding up one of the original drawer pulls. I wish we could get away with no drawer pulls, but of course, that won't work. Does anyone have any suggestions for drawer pulls????

Here's the dresser before the wallpaper.

And here's a link to the original thread.

Annie, I was thinking of perhaps spray painting the current pulls white and didn't even think of using something clear! Thanks for the idea and for your compliments!

It would be easiest to use a pull that would work with the existing holes in the drawer fronts, but because the inspiration picture has a simple white knob, I am being influenced by that picture. However, that would require new holes in the drawers. I wouldn't have to worry about filling in the old holes because of the wallpaper on there now, but at some point down the road, that could become a problem. I probably shouldn't worry about that now.

What is up with the negative Nellies on this forum? It's down right maddening. This is adorable and had I been a member and seen your original post I'd have told you it certainly would work. My daughter and I did something similar when she got her first apartment back in 2006.
Like Annie, my first thought was clear as that's what we used for my daughter's three drawer chest.
Here's something I think could work. HoDe also carries them, but online you have to buy in packs of ten. I bet you could find them in the store to purchase singularly.

bac717.....an idea about using knobs......why couldn’t you use just the inside existing holes for knobs...not the outside holes....then you wouldn’t have to make any new holes???? ..They would be evenly spaced and they would be more centered on the drawer than the outside holes....Would that work???

Thank you for the link, lisa, and crystal might be another good choice.

Yes, sewciable, some posters are so blunt when there is generally a nicer way to say the same thing. I like the hardware you are suggesting.

annie, I had the same thought about using just one of the existing holes. I think it may all depend on what we ultimately choose, but it could work.

I tried to tell myself that I miss read how they intended, but there are some members that there's absolutely no way to misinterpret their intent. You have to feel sorry for them. It must be rough knowing everything all the time. ;^)
I'm sure you'll find the perfect knobs or pulls.
My daughter's chest was given to her as an infant from my folks for her tiny clothing. We painted in during her teens to fit her style, then again for her first apartment. When she became a Mommy her baby used it. She's five now and we're talking or redoing it again one of my visits. It makes the pieces so much more special.

Looks great and easily changed if you you wanted to. My father loved wall paper and once completely wall papered an old refrigerator we had in our basement. Looked new and fun.

    That looks amazing!

I would use white or gray or clear, even gold color knobs and put them on the inside holes like anniesj suggests. Like these:

So pretty! Great job! I’d do crystal knobs-one in each hole closest to the center.

I'm pretty sure I want something that blends in because there's a lot going on with the pattern in the paper. I think if I bring along a sample of the wallpaper, I should be able to figure out whether white, grey, crystal or maybe even gold, will work. And I'm pretty sure I'll look for knobs, placing them, as suggested, in the hole closer to the center.
