Hardy Luna Pink Swirl Hibiscus in Colorado

Please tell me your experience growing Luna Hardy Hibiscus.

I am reading conflicting information on how wet the soil can/needs to be. Some say well drained, some say it can do well if the pot is put in a couple of inches of water. We have a very wet area around our fountain where the water splashes out. But it is not full sun all day. It has partial sun but a large tree growing near it will increase the shade each year. Will this still flower in partial shade on the Colorado front range? I find the sun fries some of my full sun plants so maybe this is OK.

Will the flowers only appear on the sun side of the plant? Our other option is to put it in a bed level with our lawn but that is where I currently have some roses frying in the sun. My house is to the north of this area and so I'm wondering if most of the flowers will be on the south and west side of the plants. Any feedback on this?

Thanks!
