Advise on how to encourage branching of fiddle leaf fig

Hello all,
I have two beautiful FLF’s. They both have 2 separate plants, each with a single stem. I’m wondering how I can get them to branch out to encourage a more tree like appearance rather than bush like. (See pictures below)
I’m in Idaho, a 6 region.. It’s obviously the end of August.. do I have to wait till next year?
Anyone have any advice for me on this?
Appreciate the help!

Yikes! I only put them out side for the photos!!!!!

Do you guys know how I can revive this little guy?!? (Inside plant only)
He went through a though time early spring and lost all the leaves throughout the main stem.
As you can see in these first few photos there has been no leaf growth in that area. I believe there has only been 1 new leaf that has sprouted from the top bunch all spring/summer, and from the size of the leaves it was awhile ago.
I’m not sure if it’s actively sprouting at the top anymore?
As for the bottom portion, you can see in the last photo that’s it’s incredibly healthy lots of new growth, even new branches forming!
Not sure what to do about that problem area?
    Please help if you can!

Please, ignore the comments made by Mike 223908. I'm not sure if he means well and is uninformed, or says these things to troll

I’m guessing you could cut the bare stem back. I wouldn’t do much though given the time of year. I know there are things you can do to encourage back budding for the other plants but I’m not sure what they are. I’m sure people here with more experience will have some input.

i know what i am talking about hellkitchenguy manuel! but anyway dont listen to me and put your plant in direct sun and it will die in a matter of days!!!!

Mike, please stop making claims everyone’s plants will die if they do this or that. It wouldn’t die. It would shed its current leaves and put out a flush of new growth already adapted to the higher light levels.

dave she doesnt want that. she wants new growth not for her plant to shed. so she shouldnt put it in direct sun

I never stated she wanted that, I was just correcting the misinformation had posted.

Please Mike, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, please don’t post things like that. It’s not helpful to new comers.

Please feel free to learn and get involved though.

Agreed. Soak in information for a while, and ask questions. Learn what you can now, so that later you will have a wealth of knowledge to share. You are not yet at the stage where you should be giving advice. Read posts, start new threads to get answers to questions you have, take the advice of others, and share your enthusiasm in growing. Soon you will build a knowledge base, and be able to give meaningful advice to others.

    Hi guys!
I’m needing more advice on one of my larger fiddle leafs that we previously discussed.
I showed pictures of the plant and it was doing fine! But over the last 2 weeks the leaves started get brown and also started to shed.
I’ve done nothing new to it! So I’m extremely confused and concerned on why this just randomly started happening! I am going to attach a photo of it from a few weeks ago and then some I took today. Keep in mind in the first photo, the plant is not in direct sunlight I only took it outside for the picture. (But perhaps that’s why it’s having issues?!?!)
    Any advice would be appreciated!
