Okay...so maybe not China. But that's an insane price.

That really is an insane price. I really struggle to understand the pricing on some light fixtures. Especially this one, which is not ornate in any way. Is it made of gold???

I know this one really isn't the same....but it has some similar elements.

This one from pottery barn has a similar vibe - ish. Only $599USD.

This one is bigger and has more lights. This is a Canadian site, so pricing in CAD - good deal for you if you live in the US. The exchange rate is going to work in your favour.

Also from union lighting - so priced in CAD too.

Union lighting again - a bit more pricey, but again priced in CAD and still way cheaper than the one pictured above.

@Katherine, The fixture I posted pictures of is actually made using the same components that Apparatus uses, what they charge is their name; they're a well know team that's why some designers charge more than others.

If you visit my link you'll find out that my prices are not that crazy high, if not; Etsy is full of lighting designers that can make a similar one to the one you're looking for (including me).

Note that most of US based lighting designers such as Apparatus, myself included and others actually make the fixtures in the US by hand and are not mass produced in China like West Elm, Pottery Barn, etc. That's why sometimes our pricing seems higher than the prices you see in big lighting stores.
