I need to make this work ...pink and gray and brown? OH MY!?

Budget job gone SO wrong - these "terracotta" tiles are too pink - the browns in the glass tile look so dull. The tiles are not going anywhere for a while anyway. Please someone help - need a paint color, and styling ideas to make this bathroom work. The paint in there now is some sort of pale peach flesh color - ugh - the cabinet is dark wood, sink toilet and tub are white. Mirror and light fixture are polished nickel. Maybe a dark chocolate ?

Please post a few photos of the full bathroom so, we can get some perspective.

In the pic on my screen the "gray" tiles appear light green. You might consider a muted green for your wall color.

From what I’m seeing a dark brown sounds good. Maybe show more pictures so we get a better idea?

How much of your room/wall has this tile? If it's only on this one wall? Is it three walls around your tub/shower? You could paint the wall(s) with this tile a bold color -- even a medium to dark brown -- and still paint the rest of the room something lighter ... a lighter shade of the color you choose for your accent wall(s).

it's hard because the bathroom is small do these help ?

The glass tiles have no gray the pinkish "terracotta" tiles have gray veins and some cream. The tiles are up to the ceiling around the tub - halfway up on the back wall and the wall where the sink/mirror is.

This is Behr Pale Ivy - thought it was the pale green but looks "not right" maybe too yellow-bright

This one is a little more "mossy" it is Behr Sanctuary - thinking of a shower curtain in the print below that may work. Maybe?

This is Behr Nurturing above another possibility in the green family, below is Behr Balanced a more sage leaning green. Looking for some browns also. Will post the possibles next.

for the record, these are terra cotta tiles, yours are not. the color itself denotes this very warm, reddish/orange color of clay.

try a darker tone on your walls. I like the mossy green tone. try to pull out one of the colors on the glass tile and use that.

don't know if a darker beige tone would work. this is BM Coastal Trail.

Beth H, that is very true - not actual terra cotta tiles, we wanted tiles the color of terra cotta. These LOOKED warmer when samples were shown and until they were put up - then we saw they had a pinkish color not the warmer orange colors we wanted. Same with the glass trim we had requested glass tiles with warm browns, peach/orange, greens etc. but nope, didn't happen. Tried some greens they are not working. Also tried Behr Clay Pot - but not quite right, maybe too red? I believe the Behr Maple Glaze (which I LOVE) may be too orange BUT Caramel Latte may work - I will look into the BM Frosted Toffee and Coastal Trail to see if they will work. I appreciate everyone's suggestions. I purchased the shower curtain(hope it works), maybe once it is up it will be easier to come up with something.

I would do a light grey or even a cream color to keep it bright and not dull. browns and peaches tend to town down the room.

Goes great with the new curtain - tones down the tile
