a planting bed more like this. Would be nice to install a brick-look drive (even if stenciled concretc) to match the walk.

Add lots of flowering plants, most of them shorter than the existing shrubbery, choose long blooming varieties and make sure they span all seasons. In the short term, choose annuals. They can help you with your color scheme.

Those rocks and box store walls need to go asap. Your house is perfect for natural stone steps, walls, with a stone tile walkway. You should hire a landscape designer to make sure you get it right. You need a lot more color in the flower beds. If you have any money eft over you can address the driveway with either concrete or pavers.
