Really? I can't remember what I said either so I can't repost it. Sucks to get old. lol. I thought you only had 1 NZL and it was the one you recently grafted. I am curious about everybody's plants and I know many folks ordered one about 2 years or so ago and they weren't too happy about them when received. I am curious as to how they are doing now and how they are shaped in comparison to mine.

My NZL is blooming and has barely any fragrance at all compared to my other citrus

Denise very little to no scent with my NZL that is in bloom right now.

We now know that the NZL is fragant-l.y bankrupt

nulesm Thanks for the picture and comments. My blossoms look exactly like yours and are pretty in their clusters. Before seeing this tree bloom, I didn't pay too much attention to the differences in shapes and sizes of the blossoms on my trees. This NZL's flower petals give the impression of being thicker. The circle of anthers seem to be wider in diameter and shorter than my other trees' blossoms.

Now I want to go outside and compare each variety that have blossoms against each other. I just took the blossoms for granted and knew there was a possibility fruit growing. From this experience, I realized the blossoms are just as different as the fruit.

My experiences with citrus flowers has shown me that the Fukushu and Meiwa kumquat flowers are very bland too.

Well, I just had a few more blossoms open up in a cluster and I was wrong. There is a very slight scent, but you really have to get super duper close to it to smell anything. lol. It's not a pleasant smell though, but there is something. Maybe next year when there is more than 1 cluster, it will have a heavier scent.

I had over 35 cluster open and still little scent.
