Callery pears can be invasive and really should not be planted anywhere. They tend to be structurally unsound and prone to wind and weather damage and are not at all fruitless (they will hybridize with other pears and will accept pollination from other pear species), although the fruit is small, hard and inedible. Also, many describe the scent of the flowers as fishy or of sweaty socks - they do not smell good!! And fall color in a warm climate is unreliable.

ALL trees will produce litter of some type. Even evergreens. No litter = a plastic or dead tree :-) The Indian hawthorn is prone to some disease issues and sheds its berries but they tend to be dry and hard. Another possibility is Arbutus unedo or A. 'Marina'.

I'm not sure what any new members to Houzz see but on the left side of my homepage, it lists an 'Explore Topics' listing and under that it lists Garden Forums. And clicking on that will get some 75 or so very specific plant related forums - the old GardenWeb - from which you can take your pick. The Houzz side of the platform deals only with home decorating or remodelling. Not plants or gardening ;-)
