Last summer we finally finished our swimming pool and filled it with water, but within 3 days I noticed some raccoons and squirrels coming and drinking water from it. From time to time some poor squirrels even drowned in the pool and I felt so sorry for them. I tried covering it with some mesh, but they broke it, unfortunately. We didn’t have a choice but to call the guys from wildlife removal to help us solve somehow the problem. They came very quickly and trapped those little guys and suggested us to put a fence around the swimming pool. I'll attach the link in case someone needs help:
