Put all family photos on the shelves and forget adding a wall to the mix.

Lower the TV so it's about 3 inches over the console.

I like family photos in hallways in the more private area of the home and as above it makes for a larger area to hang additions. That TV needs to be lowered and a lower cabinet would keep the TV at the right viewing height.

I wish I had a hallway but we live in a small condo. Would you do brown or off white?

I do have some photos on the shelves but I have grandchildren that I would like to hang. My dilemma is distressed or reg. brown or off white frames.

I'm not a fan of "decorating" with family photos. Let's bring back the PHOTO ALBUM!

How about some books in the bookshelves?!?

Hallways are one of the best places to display photos, even in your bedroom. If you don't have that, then you can try doing a small photo gallery on that wall. However it looks like you have a lot of family photos in the built ins already. Are you planning on removing those and using them for the gallery?

I recently purchased some books for the shelves. I did not plan on moving the photos from the shelves. I am not sure what color frames to use. I have a lot of brown in the condo but then the wall is adjacent to the white shelves and I have the distressed brown frame on the wall to the left.

Hi Bobbi! If the adjacent rooms are decorated similarly to the parts of the room shown in your pictures, I vote for white/off-white frames (perhaps same white as your shelves) for that wall, particularly if you live in a seaside or near-a-beach location (noticed your seascape painting). Pretty room!

Karen, Thank you for your response. I have been trying to decide for 3 months. I have so much brown also in the rooms and I couldn't decide.
