Prism Grout Problem

My tile installer used Prism grout to install both shower tile and floor tile. It has been well over a month without use and grout is chalky and can be scratched with my fingernail. Anyone input would be helpful as I have no idea what the problem is or what can be done to fix it.

Possibly too much water? Maybe outdated grout? From the little bit I know if the grout needs repair, it needs to be removed and redone as it is not really "repairable".

The good news is you said " My tile installer used Prism grout" this means he chose and supplied the grout (I hope for your sake) and thus he or she will take full liability for the outcome. Id call the number supplied above its likely youll hear the same thing Millworkman stated only directly from the MFG. While your at it ask them how to proceed properly...
