As a woman in my very late forties...I must say that I LOVE seeing famous/wealthy women in their 60’s and 70’s that look fabulous! Bc while I certainly don’t have the genetics of Christie Brinkley or the bank accounts of Robin McGraw and Jane Fonda (who I think is 80 or something crazy like that!) it simply gives me hope that it is possible to still look young and vibrant into senior citizenship! The necklace guard in WritersBlock‘s story sounds like a cruel, bitter person. It’s not kind to laugh at anyone’s appearance, no matter how much money they have. :(

Good article and discussion. Yes, genes are a big part of the equation for sure as is how we treat our skin. However, age does happen and people react differently.

I have an issue when people mention Christie Brinkley- because while she is clearly has been blessed with good symmetrical features and a lovely smile, she has not been blessed with good plastic surgery results. I find it almost offensive when she touts skin care products as it is so apparent that she is not being truthful. Does no one else see her eyes and how different- more uplifted- they look from her youth?? Sorry rant over.

salonva, I don't see the poor results of p/s on Christie that you do but one that absolutely blows me away is Goldie Hawn. I find her to be almost unrecognizable from her younger years.
